Creating great copy isn't complicated. My approach as a freelance writer is pretty simple.

  • Each client has a unique voice.  Make sure it comes through loud and clear.
  • Don’t fake it.  Research, dig deep and ask questions.
  • Deadlines are sacred.  So are budgets.
  • Grammar still counts.
  • There’s no such thing as too much proofreading.
  • It’s not about the writer.  Set aside the ego before the project begins.
  • Fluff is fine on a poodle, not in good copy.
  • If writing becomes a chore, move on.  Happily, I’m still doing what I love!

A word about fees:
When it comes to charging for my services, I typically bill a flat per-project rate.  I've found over the years that it works best to clearly define the parameters of the project and provide an estimated cost for the job up front.  That way, we're all on the same page from the get-go.  Got a project in mind?  This email address is being protected from spambots.
